Do you have a list of hashtags that you use on a regular basis? If you’re like me, trying to remember them all AND make sure they’re all in there is time consuming. There’s a hack for that.

Just about anything has a tool in our endless gadget tool box and this is one you’ll need.

First, I want to tell you that you should consider making multiple of these shortcodes. The reason is that you can specialize them based on who you’re targeting. Name them something you’ll remember, but also something that you won’t use unless you’re purposely trying to get your list of tags coming up.

Let’s get started…

First,  you need an iphone (sorry Droid users)…

Scroll down to keyboard….

And then click on text replacement…

Here you can see all of the shortcuts you’ve made and add a new one. This is where your creativity comes into play. You can see how I name mine. When I start to type in “igboss” my phone will autofill the entire list of tags I have here. That’s why it’s important to name it something you wouldn’t normally type. If I am in a FB group and just used the term “boss” then my tags could very easily get posted if I am moving to fast. And, let’s not forget that it’s annoying to delete it all as you try to backspace it all away.

Once you click on the little + you’ll be able to add your phrase and shortcut. The phrase is what you want to show up when you type. The shortcut is what you type.

REMINDER Tip: Do not use a word you commonly type because it will replace it every time with whatever you type into the “Phrase” section.

Bonus tip: You can also use this on your significant others phone for laughs.

So get that hashtag keyword research done and get to creating those shortcuts in your phone.
